This project represents a high-level execution of custom architectural glass and intricate detailing for the Mosque within the new City of Arts and Culture development. The work required a deep expertise in combining traditional Islamic geometric patterns with modern fabrication techniques to create breathtaking, illuminated features that are central to the mosque’s aesthetic and spiritual environment.
The centerpiece of the project is the grand dome, a feat of both structural engineering and ornamental glass artistry. The interiors of the dome utilizes a complex star pattern based on traditional Islamic geometry, where triangular and polygonal glass panels are arranged symmetrically.
The glass sections are not simple clear glass but feature detailed, almost stained-glass-like patterns in cool blue and white tones, creating a vibrant yet serene light effect within the space. The geometric design of the skylight is seamlessly integrated into the surrounding vaulting and dome structure, complementing the overall ceiling patterns and the central lighting fixture.
