This project highlights I-Material’s capability in delivering and executing one of the most substantial and architecturally integrated light fixtures in a luxury hospitality setting. The work focused on creating a massive, immersive overhead Chandelier installation for the all-day dining restaurant at the Tawila Island Resort in El Gouna, Egypt.
The primary scope involved the design and execution of a custom lighting installation that defines the entire dining space. The installation is a singular, custom-fabricated Chandelier that covers an expansive area of 500 square meters, establishing a dominant and cohesive design element over the entire restaurant.
The Chandelier features a multi-layered, undulating wave-like canopy structure. This sculptural form is made from a textured, metal mesh or woven material, finished in a warm, metallic hue. Individual lantern-style or cocoon-shaped pendant are seamlessly integrated to hang down from within the ceiling layers, providing diffused, warm illumination and completing the fixture’s functionality as a grand Chandelier.
