This project represents a high-level execution of custom architectural glass and intricate detailing for the Mosque within the new City of Arts and Culture development. The work required a deep expertise in combining traditional Islamic geometric patterns with modern fabrication techniques to create breathtaking, illuminated features that are central to the mosque’s aesthetic and spiritual environment.
The main hall’s centerpiece is a highly engineered acoustic dome, which served as the project’s ‘main hero.’ Its design goes far beyond aesthetics, incorporating multiple layers for superior acoustic performance, structural integrity, and long-term maintenance. The dome is the most sophisticated element, designed to optimize the hall’s acoustics for world-class performances. It features an intricate 5-layer structure to achieve the required sound diffusion, absorption, and insulation properties.
Integrated within the dome’s structure are essential practical features: catwalks dedicated walkways for easy access, space allocated for routine inspection and repair, infrastructure for the complex theatrical and ambient lighting system.
